GitHub Lens does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or browsing history to our own servers. All data processing related to your GitHub repository browsing occurs locally within your browser or directly between your browser and your chosen AI provider.
Your AI provider API keys (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) and personalized settings are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage or synchronized storage. We never have access to this information.
When you use the AI analysis features, the extension sends data (such as repository names, descriptions, and README content) directly to the AI provider you have configured. This data is subject to the privacy policy of the respective provider (e.g., OpenAI's Privacy Policy or Anthropic's Privacy Policy).
